Cookie Policy
Effective June 17, 2026
How we use cookies and how to control them. See also our Privacy Policy. Manage choices via the site cookie banner when enabled.
1. Introduction
This Cookie Policy explains how MOKHA FILM ("we," "us") uses cookies, local storage, pixels, and similar technologies ("cookies") on mokhafilm.com and related services.
It should be read with our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service. Where required by the GDPR ePrivacy rules, UK PECR, and similar laws, we request consent before placing non-essential cookies.
2. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They help sites remember login sessions, preferences, and (with consent) analytics or marketing identifiers.
We also use local storage (e.g., cookie consent choices) and similar browser storage APIs.
3. Cookie categories
Strictly necessary — required for core functionality: authentication sessions (NextAuth), security tokens, load balancing, consent storage, and CSRF/session integrity. These cannot be disabled while using logged-in features.
Functional — remember preferences such as locale, staging preview (admin), and UI settings. May be session or persistent.
Analytics — measure traffic and product usage (e.g., Google Analytics, Plausible, Microsoft Clarity, Yandex Metrica when enabled). Blocked until consent when our banner is configured to require it.
Marketing — measure ad performance and audiences (e.g., Google Tag Manager containers, Meta Pixel, Bing UET when enabled). Blocked until consent when configured.
Third-party video — Cloudflare Stream player may set cookies or local storage for playback quality and fraud prevention; see Cloudflare's policy.
4. Examples of cookies & storage we use
The exact names may change as we update the Platform. Typical examples:
• Session/auth cookies — maintain secure login (provider: MOKHA FILM / NextAuth) • mokha_cookie_consent_v1 — stores your cookie banner choices (provider: MOKHA FILM) • Analytics IDs — e.g., _ga, _gid (Google), clarity IDs (Microsoft), ym_uid (Yandex), when enabled • Marketing pixels — e.g., _fbp (Meta), UET tags (Microsoft Ads), when enabled • Stripe — fraud prevention and checkout session cookies when you pay (Stripe cookies)
We maintain an admin-configurable list of enabled analytics/marketing tools; only active integrations may set cookies.
5. Your consent choices
When our cookie banner is enabled (recommended for EU/UK visitors), you can: • Accept all cookies • Reject non-essential cookies • Customize analytics and marketing separately
Your choice is stored in mokha_cookie_consent_v1 (or successor key) so we do not ask on every page load. You can reopen settings via the banner link or browser data clearing.
Strictly necessary cookies remain active because the site cannot function securely without them.
Configure banner text and geo targeting in Admin → Cookies. Default policy link: Cookie Policy.
6. Browser & device controls
Most browsers let you block or delete cookies. Instructions: • Chrome • Firefox • Safari • Edge
Blocking all cookies may prevent login, checkout, or playback. Mobile OS settings may also limit ad tracking (e.g., Apple ATT, Android advertising ID).
Global Privacy Control (GPC) and Do Not Track signals are honored where legally required in connection with sale/share of personal information—we do not sell personal information as defined by CCPA/CPRA.
7. Cookie retention
Session cookies expire when you close your browser. Persistent cookies may last from days to 24 months depending on purpose and vendor defaults. Consent records are retained as needed to demonstrate compliance.
Refer to third-party policies for their retention schedules.
8. Updates
We may update this Cookie Policy when we add integrations or change consent mechanics. Check the effective date at the top of this page.
